Many of the world’s websites suffer from simple mistakes that can be easily avoided if you spend a little time doing your research. Some of the problems merely result in irritation of the visitor that just landed on your site with all the hopes in the world of finding something they like, whilst others will inhibit or prevent visitors to your site from accessing the material or functionality that you have placed there.

No matter how well or how poorly your site is implemented, by far the greatest mistake occurs when the website’s role in the overall strategy of your organisation has not been well thought through. Only once the strategic purposes and role of your site are understood can the website be built in a manner that achieves those objectives.
